lololol, I've been thinkin how I really don't want a car sliding under my ass end like that, I been thinkin of welding a giant like arrestor hook or something, IDK, something that will hook into the front of the car, fuck it up badly but keep it out from under mine, kinda like a gigantic set of fishing hooks but much, much beefier

Just realized, I had my birthday three weeks ago so I've had my truck for three years now. I'm getting old, not Chris old, but old.

I had the same thing happen to me on Halloween. Lady rear ended me and lady behind her rear ended her. luckily I wasn't pushed into the person in front of me.

My rear wheels were both sitting 4" off the ground and her SAAB was wedged in between my rear tires. There really isn't any visable damage to my truck, just some paint transfer on the bottom edge of my rear bumper.

So the person that hit you, her Insurance company just looked at your truck, gave you an estimate and cut the check out to you?

I'm still playing tag with her insurance company because I work weird hours. I'm wondering if I can just have them look at it and if we agree on a price, to have them make a check out to me or if it all depends on each insurance company.

I've got a list off all the things I want replaced and or re-balaced and inspected/replaced as needed.

Oh yes and the dumb lady got out of her car and left the shit in drive with the motor running! I had to yell at her to turn her %%$ing engine off as I couldn't exit my truck because her car kept nudging my truck forward while she was out of her car trying to pull her head out.

I've been telling you about that for how long now? Mine paid off when a neighbor parked so close, he damaged his own truck on my hook.

lol, actually I don't brake check people, i may do a quick stab on the brakes to light up the the brake lights, most folks get the point, but that was before I put all the big lights on the back, now no one tailgates me. I want it for the what if situation, i see it this way, if you're forced to slam on your brakes, your ass end is gonna be way up in the air and the car behind you is gonna be slamming on their brakes so their front end is gonna be dipping down, it's almost impossible to avoid someone ending up under my truck, you could damage the frame, break a leaf mount, brake lines, air lines, crack a leaf, shear a leaf pin, all kinds of crap that could prevent you from just driving away after you exchange info.

    that was low dude

    jeesh, some people are morons

what in the hell are YOU laughing at?????

yeah, kinda like your hook but mounted lower off the frame and open ended to catch those pesky sports cars before they slide underneath

Once the police report came out and I sent it to USAA. I called and had them make an appointment at a shop the do work with. They took pics and wrote up a quote to USAA and sent it to them. I called a few days later and they are sending me a check. If you do get repairs done, make sure the shop uses OEM parts. The one I went to didn't quite for OEM parts, but I didn't care.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about doing a night hike at big basin this week. Has anyone ever had an issue showing up after 5pm when the park closes?

Don't park in a gated area or you might get locked in.

Other than that - worst thing I can imagine is collecting a parking ticket.
