Whatever you do, don't ask Chris unless you want a rat's nest of wires.

Do you guys know of a way to test TPMS? I have a set off some Tacoma wheels and hoping to see if they are fully functional before selling them. I don't have TPMS on my 4runner so I'm not sure how it works.

    ...too much shit to list.
They sensors are programmed to the TPMS computer. No way to test them by the common consumer.

you have to ping them with a tpms tool and check their signature which is like a 12 digit code

Since this is the BS thread, I must say that I was a given the biggest line of BS today. Good thing my friend who knows his stuff for real educated me more on this. Now I've got my a little bit of ammo next time the issue comes up.

Bah. I need a louder horn.

"Racer boy" in the morning commute is determined to get around me in the 300 feet between where the freeway off-ramp dumps onto the right lane of the street, and where we have to merge all the way to the left turn lane for the left turn at the light - like I mentioned, a full 300 feet - plenty of room to complete a pass. (I expect he just figured that he was the only one who would be turning left and I wouldn't be. Dumb assumption. No, I'm pretty sure his complete and full thought process was "I need to get around this too-slow-truck.")

If it comes to that - my high clearance bumper and sliders are gonna do a hell of a number on his Camaro sheet metal in a fender bender - but I'd prefer not to have to have the hassle and insurance claim just because speedy-late-boy is driving like an idiot.

Base model single horn sounds so flippin' anemic in these "Don't-Crash-Into-Me-You-Flaming-Oblivious-Idiot" situations.

    Grumble-curse-mumble-curse-mumble...

I saw that some posted they took the baffles off the front of the horns and they are loader. I might have to try this. Or ad a pa speaker and really tell him how you feel. Lol. I hate stupid drivers.

If was me i wouldn't do a backyard mechanic sas on a truck that isn't payed off and or a dd. plus that has no engineering into it. Throwing a chevy axle and springs under a project truck thats different. But not on a truck that you depend on.

Thats a very good way of looking at it Jason. Thanks for slapping me back into reality..lol
