    Almost lost some expensive stuff/wrecked on the freeway on the way to work tonight on my bike!

    Got on 680 heading towards Martinez...felt a flapping behind me every time I accelerated...reach behind me and feel my seat cowl basically falling off, so I slam the brakes and pull over...frantically jump off and look for the bag of stuff I JUST bought and out under there...it's hanging by my one finger tip that has a death grip on the seat cowl. Turns out the seat cowl someone before me put on, used very small bolts and nuts to connect the plastic underneath to the metal bracket that locks to the bike...and the nuts were a hair larger than the holes in the cowl! The bag I saved had my new $90 lithium battery jumper with all the pieces and a multi tool and assorted other stuff I JUST bought like a week ago after being stranded with a dead battery and realizing I had no tools.

    So yea, that sucked...I had to cram it all into my teeny riding backpack and hope nothing else happened lol. Now that I'm at work is see its an easy fix and some washers under the nut will solve all my worries lol

    Yea my buddy and I were able to walk away with just a knot on his knee. Was driving out to Texas and got into Amarillo, TX. Was doing maybe 40-45 in the fast lane because the roads still had slush on them. Came up to a bridge and hit some black ice, ended up fish tailing twice and slid over 3 lanes and hit that cement wall. She has officially been totaled by the insurance agency. Sad day.:(

    I went and did it. I bought a Tacoma today. 2015 Sliver Sky Access Cab, 4X4 TRD OR,V6, Auto. The truck was so new to the dealer they didn't even have the PDI done yet. I wont be able to pick it up till Tuesday. I will have a #3 (SR. fan not Dillon) lower right corner of the back window. If you see it then it's probably me. I used to work as a Mechanic and still have my tools. I may set up a Meet and Greet/wrenching day at my house once the weather warms back up.
