To follow up on Bowman, I went on Monday and camped overnight. The road in was fine, mostly clear but a few patches of ice, most of which had ruts worn down to the asphalt. The dirt road was entirely clear. We only went as far as the little bridge at the bottom of the dam because there's some climbing over there. It ended up raining on us, which was strange, but so it goes.
Hardly any snow around the lake. We only saw a few patches in shady areas but everything else was melted. Even up near Donner summit the snow was pretty thin. :(

Yeah for sure. There was a saab hatchback driving the road down to the dam, too. :p
It wasn't too cold camping, either, but it probably dipped into the high 30's.

I didn't take too many, mostly just of the climbing wall, but they're on my camera which is buried in my pile of stuff in the back of the truck...

Yep! Ended up starting to rain as I was leading our first climb, which was annoying and slippery. Luckily it was the shortest and easiest climb and by the time we got to the harder climbs the rain had stopped and the wall was mostly dry.

Climbing is something I've wanted to do forever, w when I was a kid my mom wouldn't let me, now I'm terrified of heights, even up on scaffolding 3 high my balls get all tingly. I've even turned back on some hikes...

That's only scary considering the huge crowd of folks that are usually up there. I don't think I could whip it out knowing forty folks were watching.:p

Well...I was younger at the time. 23 I think.
Llittle more to the story, I shoved a bottle of Speakeasy Big Daddy beer in between my Camelback bladders (filled with ice) with the sole intention on enjoying it at the top. It was actually quite the comical site...beer in one hand, wang in the other. What goes in must come out...pissing right off the edge.
I started the day with 10 fucks. I ended the day with 10 fucks.
