    Had a bike stolen. Reg was in it. It's a huge worry-I don't keep registration on anything anymore. I try to not leave stuff with addresses in the truck either.

    One thing you should do regardless of whether you re-key is to get a couple of rods that you can place in the door tracks. This prevents the door from being opened. You can also buy a lock that mounts on the back of the opening part of the door. It has a pin that slides down into the frame-you drill a hole in the frame. Which means you can add a hole to secure the door (loosely) in the open position.

    Rods in all sliding windows/doors does a lot to prevent someone from prying the door open. They don't need to be fancy, dowel works.
