hey guys, random off-topic question for you - I'm trying to offload my take off 2014 TRD Sport shocks/coils on CL and an interested party wants to know if they would fit on a 2 wheel drive 4 banger, anyone know the answer to this?

    thanks!

As long as it isn't a 5 lug, you're good. Must be a PreRunner 4x2 or 4x4 though.

The factory coils on the pre-runner/4x4 regular cab are either shorter or have a lower spring rate than the V6 access cab/double cab springs.

So it's going to "level" him a bit (1 inch???) which might or might not be what he wants.

And 5 lug won't work at all.

Based on how he describes it: "2 wheel drive four banger" I'd bet you dollars to donuts that he's got a 5 lug.

Nice, did you order them welded or diy? I'm gonna save and go this route with kings.

Order them welded! Unless you're doing them yourselves, you'll save money lol.

Got them welded! I just need someone to weld them on for me. My only fear is that since you have to grind down the frame/axle to bare metal to weld to it, that it'll rust. Have to find something to prevent it

Just spray some primer with anti rust stuff in it and then a good coat or two with black and you'll be fine

Speaking of BAMF shock kits, and kings...

Nick and I both had the relocate kit mounted, He went with Fox and i went with King. HUGE improvement on droop, and a much more plush ride on my end. I Can't wait to really test it all out.

I wouldn't worry too much about the rust either, I ground my frame down to bare metal for the weld on sliders and have zero frame rust issues. As volcom said, good primer and a solid coat of rattle, I use rust oleum bedliner, and it's good to go. I crawl under there and check it every now and again, shoot a few spots where it needs a touch up, but no rust.

Went through SDHQ on their Black Friday sale. Good customer service, best price out there. Ill see if I can find what I paid total, but I know it was cheaper than downsouth or rebel could do.

Edit: $547 shipped for 12" rr kings.

I was quoted at $222 per shock w/out resi with DSM, curious what you paid.
