Working out and just eating less has helped me a ton. I went from 240 to 195 at one point and now around 203. I still eat like crap unfortunately (no fast food, but too many carbs), but just supplement it with working out for an hour 4-5 days a week. I feel a ton better and now get annoyed when I miss a day at the gym (like today).

I have no clue on how to workout. Only time I've been in a gym was in high school and it was pretty much "here's equipment, workout or fail."

I think people tend to over think it... With all these different gimmicks and weight lost strategies. Just forget them all...
    Week 1. Cut soda
Week 2. Drink nothing but water and one other type drink. I drink coffee
Week 3. Start to walk or motivate your self to start challenging yourself to take steps... Use your TACO as motivation. Make sure you park far away from everyone so you know some dumbass won't dig your door.
Week 4. Keep with it... Week 5 get on that scale and see how much weight you lost. I bet you will lose up to approximately 7-10 pounds.

On deployments the first thing I would do is cut out soda's (unless we hit port and I was drinking, obviously) and Go to the Gym at least 2-3 times a week. Then a combination of 120 degree weather and 100% humidity, plus depression, and I was coming back at bout 180-190 after deployments. Now I'm at a hefty 270ish after a year of unemployment and just eating shit the whole time and no gym.

But that 180 I was also anorexia-like thin. Everyone said I looked like death. Weight goal is about 210ish

A new gym is opening up here in Cordelia, which is super close to me, not 20 minutes in either direction like the closest 24 hour fitness's around. So that should be good motivation to go to the gym after work.

I think my biggest problem was I consuming way to much crap... ~ 8000 calories a day... From eating a 3 or 4 donuts for breakfast... Carl's jr western bacon double for lunch and 9/10 I would consume a whole large round table pizza...
Just one day... Not to mention all the crap snacks threw out the day.. I was drinking 4-8 Guinness a day and would usually go threw a case on the weekends.
I could easily eat 40 chicken nuggets and still be hungry.

    Gross!!!

Yea my dad got me one of those Nutri-bullets for my birthday last year...have been using it alot recently, fruit smoothies for breakfast/lunch, occasionally a salad for lunch (one of those Safeway 300 calorie dealios) and then some sort of meat and veggie for dinner. Trying to stay under 1500 calories a day right now.

:) it's all in your head.

A little story I like to tell people now... Not to pass judgement.... But here it goes...

Couple Sunday's back we got invited to go to Ferrells ice parol for my sons bday... It was around 1 pm.... We went........ the fat people got their ice cream and had it finished before I could put the pepper on and break up the wedge salad with ranch dressing. :)

That helps.... My close buddy is a trainer at Arden hills here in Sacramento. I just happen to be a life long member there. So I just started going in when he was working out on "personal time" and train with him. I did it at the beginning religiously 3 times a week. Got lazy. Lol. Need to start going back. I need to start going back. Just hate all those snobs that go there. Lol

I also have to get back on my road bike just sitting in the garage collecting dust... Thinking about running the California marathon...
