How long? Curious if the tread is as stiff and last as long. 45k warranty is pretty long time which is a feel good for me. I can burn through a set of tires pretty quick on this truck.

Campways in Santa Rosa just earned my business for life.
Two weeks ago came and bought struts and scheduled to have the wiring replaced and installed and it was $85, harness for free and was only paying for the install. I get here and they are dead, my truck is finished in 15 minutes. They come out and give me my keys and say it's on the house, because it took so little time. How awesome is that? They won me over.

I bought a used shell and paid them $54 for struts. Spent 10 minutes asking questions, and they don't even charge me for the harness. I'm amazed.

Cass at Campways is the man.

Damn, shows how long I've been away from the scene, shoot me a PM with your new number. I'm out of here the end of this month, bound for a town about two hours from Seth lol. We need to meet up before I leave. I was half tempted to host another Bdubs night but I don't know half the new folks.

I'd love to get Duratracs, but I read that they've got weak sidewalls or something? I like the new KO2 shoulders and I just sold off my pair of 33 ATS that I was pretty happy with. I don't imagine I'll be doing any super crazy rock crawling right off the bat until I can get a front locker put in.

Initial plan is regarded to 4.56 and put a rear locker in to keep me out of trouble, once I get some 4x4 experience under my belt I can think about a front locker. I think LT front and back with a rear locker will do me just fine :)

That is if Tim at DMZ will ever call to finish my order lol. Called him about two weeks ago to finalize my order and he said he got the springs in and my order was first on the list to finish welding the hangars and he'd call me in the middle of last week. Guess I'll give him a call today and see what's up

    Why pay twice for labor?
If you're going to regear, do both lockers off the bat.

I was just gonna order some assembled thirds from ECGS once I got my truck and then just buy a front locker down the road.

I just don't want to get in over my head with dual lockers and a heightened sense of awesomeness lol

Learn to offroad first, then purchase lockers. Lockers won't stop you from getting stuck, they'll just get you stuck further out. Seen far too many Wrangler Rubicon owners do stupid stuff because of their lockers.

Guess I have a different mentality. I owned and had a front locker installed for over a year before I ever used it. It's just insurance for me.
And comparing a Tacoma owner to a Rubicon owner isn't exactly apples to apples.

I had a rear locker on my prerunner, so I'm fine with using that, but stepping up to 4x4 and a rear locker I think I'll be perfectly fine, and then once I get some more experience and learn my limits I can grab a front locker. I'd just rather not lean on lockers to really learn offroading as I did with a 2WD

Take it from me, you can get through most stuff without a locker. I never got stuck and still kept up with the locked boys. Seen too many idiots on the trips man, take some easy trails, learn to wheel, then upgrade if you feel.

Point being having front and rear lockers can change the mindset of a new driver. If you learn to offroad without lockers you get to know your vehicle limits a lot better and usually drivers tend to be a bit more cautious. Then by the time you decide (if) you need a locker you'll know when it benefits you the most. New guys with lots of equipment usually just results in them abusing the handicaps and not really learning how to offroad well. At least from my experience seeing others.

Yup, hence why I'm getting a rear locker since I'm used to that and know when to use it, but I can learn the differences between 4x4 and 2WD. Yea yea, 2 more wheels that move :)

I'm not a beginner to offroading, but I wouldn't claim to be an expert by any means. I know what I can and can't do in a 2WD with a rear locker, that's gotten me through alot of stuff that 4x4'ers were telling me to take the bypass on. It's all a out picking your line and keeping your back wheels on the ground as much as possible.
