later bloomer here for career. I finally found my "home" just so happens to be partially my own company. Worked out good. Even though i hate everyone at least once a month.

 

Toyed with the idea of starting a business for myself (all the males in my family for a few generations are successful entrepreneurs), but maybe in a few years if nothing else presents itself.

 

i went in with my dad and our old salesman and HR from previous company that the owner purposely tanked. Its worked out good, were on year two and growing exponentially. Its nice having low overhead and high sales.

 

Agreed! I'm half of our family owned small business (2 actually) and we're on our 27th year of business in our location.

me too. been a part of 4 companies that all tanked because of the economy. But all the same field. Its somewhat of a combination of the best of the best and we all know what not to do now.

 

some days i really miss slinging toyota parts though. was a fun job

 

so i have one hella 700 with an HID kit hooked up laying around in my garage...i need ideas on what to do with it

Sometimes I miss "slingin" Toyota parts as well. Then I remember the long hours, battling for the OT to be actually paid to me, profit/loss meetings, wrangling with drivers, dealing with an ineffectual leader for a boss and having to argue over taking my vacation time...

 

Ouch! I kind of enjoy getting paid to sit around and hope nothing explodes. It took me the better part of a decade to get the right experience, but now I really do love my job and money just keeps getting better the hours kind of suck, but the money makes you feel a little better about that.

Ohhhhhhhhh.

I toyed with the idea of a long bed, but that longer wheel base just wasn't worth it. And then I picked up a short bed camper shell. And then a short bed DMZ kit.

 

So glad I've got my shell. Wish I'd went with a better leaf solution in the beginning, but probably all for the better in the big picture that I didn't.

 

Yea I really love my shell. I'm already toying with in bed storage ideas now thst I've got something to cover it all with

 

I'll check back in here later after work hours are over, I try to avoid posting here during the work period so nobody gets in hot water over my avatar choice.

 

My rear leaf spring is a "situation" for me as well. I have Icon AAL's that are fine when it's only the shell and ze puppies. Yet, when I load 're up for an adventure, she displays that "Taco Squat". I am not sure if I should add the overload back into the spring pack. I've read that would help, only marginally so. I want the ride and load capacity. I think I am asking too much.

 

That's it? I've got worse stuff on my Instafram feed, I'm constant having to scroll faster to find truck pics when suddenly half naked girls are on the feed and one of the female coworkers happens to look my way lol
