You as well, your boy was cracking me up. He's a little gangster on the trail. Your truck is sweet as well and that snorkel looks awesome.

Was he a DB to you?

In other news, no other dealers from Auburn to Yuba City to Fairfield an all spots between appear to have any silver DCLB 4x, so I guess it will be prudent to focus on the two closest at hand.

He wasn't a Dbag so much as a bull shitter. He walked up and started spouting the Tundra pamphlet at me when I asked a suspension question. During the test drive he he just kept talking and talking. Finally I decided to call him on his BS, I asked what the stopping distance was on the vehicle, he had no idea, I said I'd probably be upgrading the suspension, I slammed the brakes after warning him to show him how badly the front end dives and he asked "why would you change the TRD suspension, they run the Baja 1000 with that suspension". I had to get him to repeat that because I thought I misheard him.

Here's the end of the test drive/conversation

    Me: what's the rollover rating
    Him: 2 stars
Me: Really? My Tacoma is a 4 star....
Him: Son, I've been selling cars for 25 years, and i can tell you this, they don't make a truck with a 4 star rollover rating
Me: (points to window sticker) Then why the fuck does that say 4 stars???
    Him:.....
    Me:......
    Him:.........
Me:......oooook this test drive is over.

I was only there getting an oil change on my Tacoma....wandering around looking at trucks, he walks up to sell me something and I said "Hello, I am not buying a vehicle today, I just wanted to look".

After the test drive I walked in and told the sales manager that any chance I would have had making an impulse buy on a vehicle that day was completely ruined by that idiot.

I looked at him and said "If you had said 'If don't know' even once this whole time, I would have kept some respect for you, but you insisted on trying to bullshit me the entire time" and I've never been back since.

It's not just him, when I first went for a test drive, I asked if there's a fuel economy gauge (didn't know at the time, figured it's an understandable question) the sales guy insisted, and when he couldn't find it after 10 min he got ANOTHER guy to come help look. I was fine because I was checking out the window sticker and storage cubbies (holy crap I've owned this truck nearly two months and I'm still finding them) but it seems like "I don't know" isn't in a car salesman's vocabulary.

I feel your pain, I'm just trying to scrounge money for school in August when I move to chico. I still need longfields, a front locker, the parts to go efi and some other odds and ends for my pickup :/

In other news, a kid rolled his sas 1st gen yesterday on frates in petaluma trying to do donuts in a dry field. Drove by right after it happened.

    I still need-
    16 King triple Bypasses
    King bumps
    Camburg LT Axles
    SCS Wheels
    Some sort of 34"+ Tires
    4.56 Gears
    At least 1 ARB locker

    Front tube bumper
    Wet Okoles
    Headers/y pipe/ exhaust

Tempting, but I ripped out most of the wiring harness after I broke a wire somewhere and couldn't find where lol. I pulled the switch from the dash anyways. So blanks is what I need, thank you though!

Haha your list is a little more extensive than mine, I'm almost happy with my truck. Just needs to be a little more road worthy and don't want to have to worry about reliability. Carb has to go soon.
