Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

Ok cool, I never drive back this way so wasn't sure. I just hate 80, especially since they are doing work on it.

 

Watch out for speed traps around Colfax and Applegate. CHP always staffs up that area for major holidays.

 

Today's my Friday too, headed to Pillsbury tomorrow. Wanted to get an early start on holiday traffic but I've gotta help my friend with his 5 speed swap on his cummins tomorrow. Hopefully hit the road before 3.

 

I'm supposed to be in Tahoe around the 18th for a wedding, an an open bar with a minimum tab requirement that'll likely be needed.

Hope the weather is good and traffic isn't too awful, last year we didn't have a single drive up or back less than 5 hours.

 

Everyone be careful out there driving around! The next 3 days are like the most dangerous days to be driving on the road

I get to pour a concrete slab this weekend for the new storage/workshop shed. I also get to drop my truck off for the 5th time to the dealership for them to "diagnose" my exhaust leak. I'm getting pretty frustrated now. I am usually a pretty patient and forgiving guy. I found the leak myself with a stethoscope. The passenger manifold has a leak at the cylinder head. They have already replaced the muffler and the gasket. Actually, they replaced the muffler gasket twice now.

Magnussen's Toyota of Palo Alto said I have a leak at the muffler to b pipe flange. They replaced the gasket once. Then they replaced the muffler and the gasket. I have repeatedly told them where the leak was and where the heat shield is vibrating from. This coming Monday they will have the truck again. I will be on my third service advisor. I told him I want a rental and that they need to smoke test it if no one has a stethoscope. I think they are just lazy...

 

its only bad in the mornings. At least my side of 80. Not fully sure on the sacramento side.

im leaving tomorrow morning early. they have a fun run in Chester, and they finish on the lawn in front of my house so i hope i either hit before/after finish.

I cant wait to see all the CHP hiding on 5 tomorrow.

 

Shit, I totally just realized I'm working tonight...eh....fuck. I work at 445 tonight, and I can't leave .
