Holy shit balls! Whats the word on all that?

 

Started at berryessa wind has taken it into pleasants valley and now creeping over the hill into mix canyon and Vacaville. 1200 acres 5% contained. Winds still at 25-39mph. Smoke was blown past Sacramento.

Started by a head on collision in berryessa. Car caught fire.

 

Wow. I heard about the fire in berryessa at work, but that was the only word i got. Shit, do they have fire breaks up? Did it jump 80, or is still on the north side?

 

It's still between the lake and Vacaville. They have just about everyone they can and planes dumping on them. It's bad. Real bad.

 

Just announced 4,000 acres. That escalated quickly.

 

Fuck man. I remember being on deployment back in '08...came in for night shift and everyone was glued to the TV...someone finally spoke up "Hey Jeff, dont you love in Orange County? Its on fire...."...about lost my shit then and there. Luckily both parents houses didnt burn down. Mom was at the edge of evac zone...Dads house got lucky and him and a couple guys built their own fire breaks and kept embers down...a house 4 houses down was rubble. Water pumps died for basically that entire region, so fire fighters were fucked. That was a bad night for everyone.

Anyhoo, hopefully they can get it contained!

 

It should die down with the night cooling. But then they will need to attack it at night and keep it going through the wind and heat at sunrise. It could get out of hand. It's been going for a lot of hours and only 5% is a little unnerving

 

Hey guys so some stuff has happened with me transferring down to Cal maritime..

Long story short USPS lost my final transcript from my current university, didn't make the deadline and Cal maritime didn't tell me until a week later. As of right now Im not enrolled in there.

I appealed it and am waiting on that. I was quite pissed off when I found out..

 

That sucks! I hate the USPS. Sorry to hear it. I am missing a package myself with them at the moment.

 

My dad is missing one too, they are useless..

Basically they made a $2500 mistake for me (deposit, uniform crap and flights down). Even if they get me back in im last on the list for classes, housing and everything else. Pretty much screwed up half of my first year

 

Sorry bro. I'm sure that feels like an enormous dick punch.
