When I went to pick up my white TRD Pro DCSB, I drove down to salinas from San Anselmo. I was haggard, it was raining hard and my wife was sleeping. The salesman waited for me to arrive. I got to the dealership 20 minutes before they officially closed. I was out the door 21 minutes after they officially closed. I didn't even test drive the truck( I should have. I would have noticed the leaking exhaust manifold...). The moment I handed them the cashiers check, somehow I was awake and alive again. It was my easiest auto purchase ever. My passion was to my detriment though. Had I test driven the truck I would have made sure they fix the leak before I drove it home. Now, I'm stuck battling it out with dippy service advisors over a leaking manifold no one wants to fix...

Sounds like the VSC. Happened in mine and almost sent me into oncoming traffic. I usually turn it off if i remember

That sucks, I would be pissed. Yeah I always have to remind myself to keep the giddy schoolgirl down and go through everything I need to first. It's hard not to sometimes though haha.

I love it. No problems off-road whatsoever. I've done a fair share of crawling, and 4lo is pretty damn slo. Only a handful of times I can recall having to clutch it. A super low t case/crawl box would be fun, but I haven't needed it.

As for all other forms of driving, ie: fast desert mobbing, hilly fire roads, regular day to day driving... It's awesome. It makes driving fun. Now I like driving stick, always have, always will, so I'm biased. I can't speak for anyone else of course, and there's a number of lengthy thread battles on the subject. But I can truly say I don't have one negative thing to say about my 6spd.

I'd have to say I love the manual too. Get used to your stall point in 4lo and it's pretty easy to stay off the clutch. I usually don't have to use it besides a rock garden here and there. As everyone else said, personally I much prefer the manual and have way more fun driving it. After always having one, I bought an auto ranger and tundra. Both of them were traded in for manual tacomas :D

Took mine up to the slabs last night, 4lo was wonderful just a tiny bit of throttle here and there but barely touched the clutch. Scooted right up one of the backs of the slabs, I was more than a little puckered, but she crawled around great for stock.

I wish I was able to do this. I didn't check my center diff lock and 4lo. I was on a trail needing cdl and it froze partially engaged. Was a bitch to get it home 300 miles and then had to pay to get it serviced. That was pricey lesson.

I pm'ed the seller, gonna see if he's got any plans to come up north... If not, I may jump on that. I just feel bad sticking somebody with a big ass fridge in their garage for an undisclosed time. I really don't have a trip down to SB in the works... Posted on the NorCal/SoCal express, might have help from @CayucosTacoma, but he doesn't have a real set time he'd be coming up this way either...

It's a good deal on the fridge, but not such a crazy good deal that I'd want to put anybody out of their way too much...

Yeah I guess he emailed you asking about getting the 20% off deal extended.

Have you tried the Even Keel by Ballast Point? Low alcohol percentage but a good tasting IPA. Perfect if you want a few but don't want to be full after the second.
