I've asked a few times about local alignment shops who would actually take the time and try and get my numbers as good as they can be on stock UCAs but still don't know where to go.

Find the numbers you want...go to a shop and tell them thats what you want.

Did. They didn't. Don't want to try again. Rather go somewhere I know it will be acceptable and they'll actually try and get it as good as it can be.

 

Then dont go to Firestone lol

I went to a local independent and they still didn't do what I asked. I think @stroM- suggested a local Les Shwab location but I don't remember. Afraid to take it to a chain place and have them not care either. I think there is an old school shop locally called Chuck's Tire and Brake or something similar and they might be where I go but not sure.

 

If they didnt do what you asked for then you don't pay them. If they align it to be "good enough" but its not what you asked for, then they didn't do what was agreed upon and you owe them nothing. Now, obviously your numbers better be reachable woth your lift, or you're asking for a miracle

Long story short, i showed up with loose lug nuts, got a shitty alignment, showed up 4 hours later and had to take their torque wrench and tighten my lugs (didnt have the right socket at the time). They said they'd realign it, i said heres your torque wrench, your not touching my truck again

 

People with a low IQ are always fun to play with.

 

I would wait until you get your 35's.

I did. Just make a service appointment and have them reset it. They'll park it on a level surface and hook it up to the Toyota Special Service Tool and reset. There's a DIY method if you're so inclined. At the dealer, it takes about 45 minutes.

I wouldn't ignore it if it's constantly going off.

 

Super helpful. Did you just go in and ask for a VSC reset? Did they charge you?

 

I had been having some issues with it. Since it came with the DSI installed lift, I asked them to do it for free since it did it from the day I took it home.
At first, they looked at me like I was high..ha ha. Then I took the service manager for a ride....got it right in and adjusted.

If I were having problems today, I would expect to pay for an hour or less of shop time. If you can find an independent shop that owns a Snap On tester, that might work too (I know they'll do the ABS bleed so I'd expect it to do the VSC too).
