Was at Home Depot in Placerville this afternoon and saw a Silver X-Cab (2nd Gen) that looked very similar to Rich_Beauregard's truck. Lifted with an aftermarket front bumper. The hood and all body parts from the crease down were black (like Rich's truck). I think it had a soft shell on it too? Anyway, not sure what the lower part was coated with. I originally thought it was line-X but then it was sparkling in the Sun like the black non-slip material you can stick on the edge of stairs and it wasn't thick like line-X. Didn't care for the black hood, but the rest looked really good. Blacking out the lower panels sure helps blend the aftermarket bumpers on the silver trucks.

Aha I kinda imagined you being so pumped up that you'd do something like that. What are you gonna do about the armrests and I thought you'd get dem headers done but I guess there were just too many people doing too many things huh.

haha yeah well i didnt damage the armrests or the door panel as far as what you see. I'm gonna try to fiberglass em back in and if that doesnt work just have the entire door fiberglassed over at a customs shop.

we wouldve had to dismantle the engine pretty much to make the header install happen quickly. and just not enough time.

Anything above 4K foot elevation is going to have a minimum of 3-4 feet of snow. Plus, most of the Forest Roads are closed (locked with gates) between Jan 1 and March 31 due to a federal order as a result of lawsuits over environmental impacts. You're either going to need to go into Nevada to find any trails, or do some snow trips on paved, unplowed roads (unless like Jerry said if Sierrahsky knows of any near him). I can point you to two unplowed forest roads (paved) that will be covered in snow but are open if you want to take them. One's here in Pollock Pines off Hwy 50.
