Fuck Toyota..I was able to align the truck today...what a waste on those parts I collected..at least I got new LBJs and aftermarket bump stops out of it

 

Holy preload!

 

Weight was completely off the wheels. Made sure I could spin them before starting. The top of the collar was 1-7/8" from the end of the threads/ bottom of the top cap from the factory. I'm now at 2-5/8" DS and 2-1/4" PS. Hub to fender is 22.5" on both sides. Not much lift. I do have Dakars, with the extra leaves, and it's sitting level. The camper, cabinets, and 14 gallons of water are in the back now. My truck is usually in "prepper" mode.



Driveline angles are still decent.


I think it looks like a lot of preload since the fox's don't have the top lock collar anymore.

The springs do look short though. Look at them next to the 5100's & 885's set at 0.


These are the "extended travel" ones too. Same length as the 5100's. Lame.

I'll probably end up getting some 14" 650 lbs springs. I liked the spring rate of my 885's - not the dampening. It rides so much nicer now with minimum oscillation.

 

Compressed spring length is only 9"? How does that compare to Kings with 2.5" lift? Plate bumper & winch.

 

I have some king 650's off extended travel coilovers, I believe they are 14's I can check in about a week or so if your interested

 

The preload looks normal for the fox coilover. I have the same ones and switched to 14x650. Basically the collar moves freely down 1-1.5" of the body before even reaching the coils with my 14". So I only cranked mine about .5-1" with any tension on the collar. Makes it look like they have a crap load of preload but really the same amount as any other coilovers.

 

Also finally got my engine all back together. Took a full week but I only was able to work on it 1-2 hours over 3 different days. The 4Runner is finally stock again after removing the sc, replacing the valve cover gaskets and putting all the stock stuff back on. Left off one vacuum connection that goes before everything so I just bypassed it for now.

My submission to the asshole parking thread... Infinity started off over the line then little blue screwed em. Watched em both park like . The lady in the infinity def didn't look like she'd be able to maneuver out of this one

 

The worst thing is they both leave and you end up looking like the asshole!

 

Baaahahahahahaha. Yep. And maybe even a ticket for parking partially in the Red Zone.
