Just drove to truckee to purchase this: image.jpg

I've been looking for one of these for a few years and got a good deal. I don't buy things on a whim, but had to jump on this before someone else grabbed it. Mid-life crisis maneuver (just turned 41). Heading back up the hill to pick it up after the Flippac is gone.

Currently have 5100 set to .85 w/ Eibach 1.5's up front. Rear set up is TSB w/ overload and Wheeler’s Multi-Leaf Add A Leaf Set – 1.5″ Lift 3 Leaf Progressive. Higher in the back obviously.

The front 5100's have mileage on them (40k), and within the next month looking to upgrade the rim/tire combo to SCS 17's pair with 285's. What do you guys recommend as an upgrade for the front to level it out? nothing that'll break the bank or anything LOL. I know eventually aftermarket UCA's are needed, so ill have to take that into consideration as well.

I know I brought this up a week or so, but I thought Id ask again to get any additional info, so I can really start crunching numbers and seeing what the damage is.

Phil, mid life? I don't see it ending here.

It's better for snow camping. I had a FWC on my scout and loved it. Scout wasn't great for road trips and hauling the kids around though. When I looked at FWC's for the Tacoma, they were 2.5 to 3x more expensive than the Flippac. The Flippac is way roomier and lighter, but the wife and kids aren't fans of the cold. Not a problem with a warm sleeping bag for me.
Eventually, I still want to build a custom camper, but this pushed that project back about 5 years.

Haha! No ending in sight. Definitely not the king of glamping- have you seen some of the setups on expo? I'm more like the assistant to the junior Vice President of glamping...

    And it came with these:

    image.jpg

290 watts with 2 marine batteries. I'll probably pull one out for more storage. I have no idea what to do with that power. The guy is a retired engineer and the camper is wired really well. I'll also re-do the cabinets to make more room for all our crap. I can't leave things alone...

I can imagine how it becomes a dick measuring event. To always win that argument ask them "do they tuck theirs into their boot? Then come back with mine is folded in half there." That usually gets the subject changed.

Free time adventuring is more valuable than expensive rigs as driveway crawlers.

Quick ammo rundown incoming, only had a few minutes to do some counts so there's a little more stuff here that I didn't get to.
