Noted.... seems like so many complaints, you'd think they would take care of the problem. Oh well I need it, and no one else seems to make a lock for our tailgates.

If someone was to try to remove a spring from a coilover incorrectly, what would they do wrong to make a significant amount (puddle under truck) of shock oil leak out? Unscrew the body cap or bearing seal? Fox 2.5 non-resi coilovers.

Google & TW searches aren't turning up info and Fox's website doesn't have a good exploded view of this shock.

Shop wants to make things right- but I need to let them know where they fucked up.

Also, anyone have a stock strut/ spring assembly I can borrow? Or just a top hat (still have my stock springs & struts, but sold the top hat with the 5100's) Just need to limp the truck 4 blocks home from the shop while coilover goes back to Fox for a rebuild.

Should have done the spring swap myself...

I have my TRD shocks on the shelf still if you want to borrow them, Phil. Unsure what they could have accessed while it was on the truck to get it to dump oil.

@EDDO is holding on to @strom's old OME 886s with 5100s for me. Yours as long as you need em. I'm just watching the little dude today and work only late afternoon so I can help facilitate getting em to you since your trucks down...

They're in my garage (along with my stock takeoffs), I'm at work 'til 5, though.
I could shoot home and grab them at lunch...
@Overlanerd I'll be passing through your way stupid early on my way to the Mendocino trip on Saturday.

Phil, send the shock to my guy in Sacramento! He can turn it around quick for you and you save on shipping. He can also see where it messed up and revalve it for you if you'd like while hes in there.

Greg at Rock & Road Performance. He rebuilt my icons and is a super nice guy. Very happy with the price and the work.

Thanks Jeff! I'll PM you later today to coordinate.

Seriously appreciate the offer Bret! I think that Jeff's will work out and he's local. Since the Taco's not my DD, it's not critical that I get it today... Again, thanks for the offer!
Thanks Eric! Appreciate your offer to head home at lunch. If Jeff's shocks don't work out, I'll PM you about meeting on Saturday.
Thanks for the suggestion Sam. Looks like that is going to be the plan. Need to figure out the valving needs to change based on the new springs, weight of the camper, etc.
