Agreed. The one in Santa Rosa is pretty awful. I am going to try the new one in Rohnert Park and see if its any better

Just had a 40 minute phone call with the store manager for Santa Rosa who totally addressed the issues I've had from day 1, including my wheel damage. Maybe an hour after I submitted the survey they emailed me?

He definitely knows what he's doing in management, might be the best conversation I've had with anybody in that position. So, long story short - he offered to refinish my OEM wheels or replace them with any wheel they sell, free of charge. He also answered every question I had regarding issues with their procedures and explained everything in detail far more than I asked for.

Definitely willing to give them another chance at this point, but more problems from that location and I'll be doing what I said I'd be doing in the survey - buying tires elsewhere.

Yay new wheels. Boo I need them in the first place.

Still meh, I wish I knew a better tire place that's local to me and that I trust.

Not a fan of Schwab either.

Would honestly love a small independent shop with integrity, but kind of wonder also if that type of tire shop hasn't been squeezed out of business by the TireMart style chains.

Either way, I didn't ask for new wheels and they were offered. I don't like being that customer, but genuinely feel the issues with the scratches and chips from careless techs on my once perfect wheels warrant their replacement.

My new fear is that they just fuck up the new wheels the same way. :bananadead:

Anyone in the east bay who doesn't go to AVN Motorsports in Alameda is missing out. They are a single bay shop only do new wheels/tires and rotate/balance. Run by a bunch of friends working together. Last time I went I got tires rotated and road force balanced, plus swap tpms in my spare. Complete with hand torqued lugs. All for $25. I think I found the white whale of tire shops! Just wish they did alignments...

Geez, I had a place that did road force and TPMS mount and balance for $60. I liked them but now they are $80 and their shop is a mess. Can't rely on them to get it done by the time you requested and a pain to park. Just paid $280 for lifetime alignment and balance/rotation plus mounting my tires at Firestone. Worth it for me as I can drop the truck off and ride my skateboard to work easily. They hated my 4Runner for how much I was in there.

Sucks to hear about the initial bad experience but good for them making it right. What wheels are you getting?

I love discount tire direct though. Ordered my Falkens on 3/18 to find out 3/20 they had a $75 rebate start. I was bummed so I PM'd them here and that day they refunded me the $75. So cool of them.

Most likely Level 8 MK6 in matte black.

Would love to jump to 17s but my current tires are still under 15k miles.

Can't decide between 0 offset or -10. Leaning towards -10 but not sure if I'll rub.

My methods have 0 offset on x8.5 and I'm basically flush with the fenders. Just for a reference.

    Thanks.

I know it's a half inch difference in poke between the 0 and -10, I'd be happy with either. Don't want to cover the side of my truck in crap or toss rocks on my paint, so that half inch might be the deal breaker for the -10.

Been looking at pics and other info for the last 30 or so, looks like I'll probably go with the 0 offset. Just not committed yet.

So the woman did not like coming home to my bike in pieces all over the living room. It didn't help that I asked her what's for dinner two steps into the place either.

    0-2 tonight
