prewitt ridge, camped there a couple of times last year. very nice spot.

also, there are quite a few pullouts you can camp at along coast ridge road. just don't be lightin any fires, the locals frown upon that.

Phil, i saw R&R have some Fox 2.0 coilovers rebuilt and ready to head back to the owner. Those yours?

 

No... Same boat as you Sam. Same fucking boat. Shock shaft is damaged (from a tech's pliers) and it damaged the bearing seal & bearing. Greg's waiting on the shaft replacement shipment and should get them back mid-week.

Mine are 2.5 extended non-resi.

Edit: The tech also took some channel locks to the pre-load ring. When I dropped it off, I left the spanner wrench and wheel lock on the floorboard and showed it to them. Pissed right now, but I'm sure they'll compensate.

 

I thought you ran 2.5s but wasnt sure. Heyzues! At least Fox has things readily available at multiple resellers so should be able to get quickly. Im sure Greg is thinking im haunting him with rusty shafts (yes).

 

What the actual fuck. Who the fuck uses pliers on shock shafts. I would lose my fucking mind.

 

Greg was telling me stories about the shit he sees with some of these coilovers and shocks. You'd be surprised what people do.

 

I've done it on a shitty stock shock that the top nut rusted on and had to throw a set of lock pliers on them, but I had every intention of tossing the shock lol

 

ha i've done the same, stupid ass top shaft

 

Always the rear shocks and the hole on the top of the shaft is so corroded I can't even get a wrench in to keep the shaft in place.

 

The guy that lied to the other guy who is taking care of the situation. All I can say is that I'm trying to remain calm. Deep breaths...

 

the mini van has a panel similar to a pinch weld (might be one) directly above the post on the rear shock. Its positioned perfectly to block a wrench and/or socket from securing the post to tighten the nut. I have never let so many expletives fly in my entire life than when i installed my Fox's.
