whats sad is there was a print error, only printed the first one so she was having a lot of trouble printing the second and third documents she needed. I helped her through the glass and got it to work.

My neighbors just traded in their 04 DC for a 16 DC. Going to have to check it out and see what they are all about. Pretty sure they got the SR5, so no fancy smancy stuff.

 

So I just got these Donahoes in and i was checking the shafts. One is perfect and the other has this one small spot at the very bottom of the shaft. Is this something I should worry about? I can't see the coilover compressing that far down unless you think you have LT and launch the damn thing.

@jberry813 hate to call you out, but you would know best.

Its a tacoma, there really isnt much fancy optioned.

 

Can you get a finger in there and see if its just a discoloration or actual pitting? If you can feel your fingernail catching on it at all you need to replace the shaft

Your absolutely right. They make more then the electrician's and they can barely type.

 

I'm no expert, but it probably wouldn't do damage if it that part of the shaft doesn't go past the bearing cap.

Measure the coil spring block height. Coil diameter x number of coils. Subtract that from the preloaded (unmounted) spring length.
If the distance from the bearing cap to the corrosion spot is longer than the difference between spring length & block height, you should be ok. I think.... Ask @jberry813

like what Jeff said, if you can feel it, itll tear the seal. You may not think itll go that far down but you'd be surprised. I personally would replace it.

Aww...don't hate on the sparkys! Wiring some of these newer buildings looks crazy.

 

I don't do new buildings anymore, I fix ,repair,and add to these shitty old buildings, that are run down from poor management.I do service work for the state buildings in downtown Sacramento.

 

I'm a sprinkler fitter, we enjoy harassing electricians.
