Obviously, since I said it earlier, headed west Thursday night. I have this dresser and table for sale on CL. If anyone's interested in buying, I'll deliver! More photos available too.
Dresser is a repro from an antique dealer in New Orleans all wood, dove tail joints, velvet lined drawers.
Table has wood top, metal industrial base. The hand crank works. Table height to pub table height. Easily seats 3, but 4 will fit.

$550 each. Will package deal if one person wants both.

Lake Chabot is alright. Not too far from Dublin, SF, and Albany. Mount Diablo works for Pittsburg and Travis AFB. Definitely check gate open & close times if you're coming in late or leaving early. @Gply mentioned they don't let people out until 7am.

In 2008, after moving out of our rental and waiting for escrow to close (buying a short sale with an FHA loan back then = long wait), I wanted to live in our Scout pop-up at those two campgrounds for the summer. Would have been a good story. Wife wouldn't have it. Lived with the in-laws for 2 months instead.

Good point on the check in/out times. Not sure that will work for us.

As for the rest of your story... All I can say is I'm sorry! I would have chosen the camper, my husband too. It takes every bit of strength (and restraint) I have just to get thru a weekend at my in laws...

Haha yup, I don't really mind since I doubt it would fit with the door closed anyways. I just have to make sure a future 1st gen 4Runner project fits or invest in some 225 rollers.

There was a house that came on the market recently that had a complete hydraulic lift in the garage. My wife loved the house and I loved the garage but sadly 200k over our budget.

Yes it was. He said it'll be done in a few days. Can't wait to check it out when I pick up my springs

I didn't see anyone mention Mount Tamalpais.

    http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=471

Pretty sure some sites are better than others (the one I stayed at was nice, but it was too close to the road for me), but may be worth checking out if you also want to hike and catch some nice views of the Bay.

    Thank you all!! Seriously!

Talked it over with the Mr...
Due to time constraints and appointment times, we're just going to stay both nights at Travis.

We can get out of here 5pm Thursday, and check in whenever we get there. Appts all day Friday and some thrift shopping thrown in. Commissary and Appts Saturday morning and head home.
