Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

I thought it was VSC but nothing beeped and no lights came on

 

Might be worth checking out. When it happened to me, I don't recall any lights or beeps. Just the truck feeling like the steering and brakes almost locking up and launching me into oncoming traffic. Scary as fuck!

 

Yeah thats pretty much what happened but everytime I've had VSC pop I get a beep and the brake blip for a minute, this just felt like the front passenger side was slowing down and pulling me over, so I assumed I was leaning over enough while turning that it was rubbing the pinch weld and pulling me over for a second

 

Just like what Blake said mine never gave me any warning what so ever. No light beeps blow jobs nothing just forced me into the other lane. If you were going that speed and rubbed the pinch weld it would've taken some paint off or shown some sign of rubbing.

Lol It definitely rubs the pinch weld, please don't think it doesn't, that is a fact. I'm just not sure in this case if it was VSC or pinch weld lol. At some point this week Im painting everything I can and pounding down both pinch welds some more and assorted other things for a return trip to Pismo. Thank god my highway tuning is on point. Now I just need to get my mall speed bump tuning set up and I'm golden

 

My VSC never went off but it was fuuuuuuuuucked.

My guy showed me my VSC reading when I got my alignment after OME went in. It's measured/gauged in degrees.

Outside of 15 or 25 degrees or something is when the light should come on and the system activate. Mine was reading 36.8 degrees, which was way outside that range; let alone where it's suppose to be (0).

 

Don't remember all the specifics but I watched the computer monitor while he reset my VSC and he gave me a run down.

Maybe he was full of shit. Or maybe I am. But such is what I recall seeing/hearing/dealing with.

It's an old school shop ran by a bunch of grey hairs. Guy who was aligning my truck was smoking a cigarette the whole time.

 

Yeah Im gonna have to do that I guess. Also need to do an ABS kill switch. There was a shitty kick up right past that fence line, if I got up going to fast I had to pump the brakes like crazy and swing it around half the time to avoid the kick up. No bueno. Would rather lock up the brakes at that point and slide to a stop than have it just not stop

 

You know it. 06 FTMFW! I just have that stupid abs I need to put a switch on.

Bastards..lol....he said I can take it to my mechanic and if they can relate the accident to the leak then yes. But I know it wasn't so whatever.

Aint gonna lie, I was so happy when I saw a brand new diff on the estimate....lol
