Yeah i've heard of frame straighteners, but usually the cost of something like that is what makes a total I thought. IDK.

I just found out the asshole whom I talked to on the phone at Toyota Extra Care is asking for the dealership to resubmit the parts claim. Sounds like progress is finally being made.

I ALMOST feel sorry for the guy now. I bet he's had so much shit to deal with after all this fuss I've raised... two complaints on a federal level... people above him telling him to approve it, having to deal with a few dissapointed people.....

    almost....

but nahhhh. I spoke to some real jerks at Extra Care, one of them I kinda wish would get fired after this shit.... very unprofessional.

idk. A straightened frame is still going to be weak where it's been bent. According to the new estimate, they're gonna drop 10 hours of labor into straightening it. They'll straighten it by placing it on a jig then pulling.

According to the guy that called, it's "only bent a little"--wetf that means.

Gotta say, I'm still glad no one was hurt but now I'm pissed off because even though the truck will be fixed, when I go to sell or trade it in, it will show the detail of what's happened. Meaning it's future trade in value will be lower than similar vehicles.

And again, might I recommend a trip to Jerrys for some frame reinforcement? :D I think that would fix that in a heartbeat.

Then again, if you're like me, you will probably run it into the ground, at least until some new gen tacoma comes out that you just HAVE to have.

Yah. I'll see what they're talking about then decide whether to add frame reinforcement.

You're right about driving it into the ground but the whole thing just pisses me off.

Yeah I got it running, first time I ever really figured it out, more of less just a test platform to see how the heat builds up in my new case. Surprisingly, so far not at all! :D

Spotted tahoe_babbs in Folsom and...followed him:spy: to Placerville until he turned north on 49. He was probably wondering who honked the horn twice while he was sitting in the turn lane (as I passed by). LOL

    Like my truck.:D

Only got about an inch. Only the roads in the shade even had ice on them because the pavement's still warm. Takes a couple of storms and cold temps to cool the ground off. I hear there may be more coming Sunday though. I'll chime in when we get a decent amount.

Hey, I just moved out here to Travis AFB. Will there be anything going on soon that would be interesting to go to? I would like to maybe meet some of you guys and check out the area.
