Yeah, I am just beginning research for a convertible. His feet are starting to stick out of the Keyfit 30.

    Looking at Diono seats too.

Thanks for the tip. I've been super impressed by the quality and design of the Chicco products so far.

We have 2 of the Graco infant/toddler seats good up to 35, and Im super glad I swooped on the Graco convertible one thats good till their like 100 lbs lol. Goes from infant seat, to toddler seat, then it flips around to like a fully restrained seat, and then a booster seat. Need to wait for Amazon to have another deal on it, 100 bucks off was great!

We have bought 3 different seat for my daughter. She was a premie so we had to get the lowest weight one first, then a forward facing and now a booster seat. I try to find the trade in deals at Toys R Us as no one wants an old car seat. I was pissed to find out the rear passenger seat in my truck doesn't have a latch system. I'll just use the belt, but prefer a latch system. Actually have the new kids car seat in it's box in the bed of my truck right now.

You guys should try getting an infant into a car seat in the back of a Mini Cooper. There's a reason that car just sits now, although it's fun to drive.

For those that don't know, you can stop by any CHP station and they will inspect your car seat install. They'll provide recommendations on any suggested changes based on your vehicle and car seat combo.

Yeah, the Diono does all that too and up to 120 lb, and it looks like the Nextfit does not have booster mode, but boosters are cheap. I saw complaints about the Diono head restraint, which is not adjustable, interfering with bigger kids shoulders (and "petite" girls, not chunky boys) that prevented them from being comfortable well under the seat's overall design capacity (i.e., outgrew the seat far before reaching the seats specified height/weight capacity).

The Nextfit has an adjustable headrest. So, that is an attractive feature.

    Looks like tradeoffs abound.
