    Good luck *crosses fingers*

    I'm the other way around. The guy that might do mine is in San Fran. He does all the Lexus's for my club. If anything, I'll probably drive out. I think it will take him only a couple of hours to do it.

    .
    Let me know how that works out, I may want to try that option, I can't pull my truck out of service that long to send mine to seth and I don't have the time to drive up there and back.

    I would be interested as well. I was up I 80 off the Nyack exit and there was a good 2- 3 feet of snow this past Sunday. I was just above 4000ft elevation.

    It might be awhile for me because I just spent a bunch of $$$$ on a present for the truck. But if you want, I can hook you up. :) I'll even go with you for the ride there and back!

    Yeah, we only got 3" last weekend on the 50 corridor at 4000K ft (where I live). But up higher, no idea. Just FYI, Capps Crossing turnoff that we did last year on Run 1 was at 5K ft.

    I did check out EDNF's road closure page and it hasn't been updated since Oct 12. So I'm guessing all the forest roads are still open (no early closure yet), probably because people are still going up to get their "wet" firewood for the year. That means we can get off the beaten path. We could even hit up Long Canyon Trail as an alternative. I know I can make it up at least as far as that downed tree without stacking rocks...depending on snow as there are some steep sections...and that's assuming they haven't closed the gate on Silver Fork Rd. The logging trucks are still coming down from that direction, so I'm guessing it's still open.

    :broccoli::broccoli::broccoli:

    Whew! I was down at the parts department this morning getting diff plug crush washers and I asked them how much the replacement cost would be.

    At first, the tech looked it up without a VIN and came back with....

    $2400!

    :bananadead:

    I about fell over on the floor. :eek: But then we looked up an exact part number based off of my VIN and that was in line with what I expected - about $320. EDIT: I also found out they burn in the current mileage when you order it. So you don't have to go through a lifetime of wrong-odometer-readings and the resulting hassle if/when you sell the truck, ever file an insurance claim, etc...

    Be that as it may; I'm quite relieved that it showed up. :cool:

    I like them. Rides stiff off road if you don't airdown tho. I wondering what kind of tread life I will get out of them tho. If they at least last me close to 40k I would buy another set. If not I might try the Goodyear duratrac or Procomp xtreme AT. If I stick with the KM2, I will go with the 255/85/16 tire next.

    It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    so if this guy comes and buys my other fiddy tomorrow..i'm heading to a yard in hopes to pickup a front axle tomorrow.

    and then once I sell some tires I got, and some old truck parts from my 2wd..i'm going back to this yard in Hayward and getting the rear to match WMS.

    pray he buys the fiddy tomorrow!!!!!!!!
