I'm gonna give it a couple more months before I take J camping. Hes about 14 months or so, I think right around a year and a half he should be chill enough to take. Or rather, I should say, the wife will be chill enough to let him go with me, annnnd she'll be pregnant again and want us out of the house

My buddy last year brought his 2 1/2 yr old daughter to Moab for RT, which I thought was gonna be a nightmare. She enjoyed every second of that week long trip. Not one day was she a problem. I think cuz he left momma at home, there would be no bs.

I have 3 boys and it's funny how different they are. My 10yr old was awesome at 2yrs old. I could take him anywhere. My 4yr old is just now getting chill enough to go camping and be away from home overnight but still has his moments. My 2yr old forget about it. It's gonna be a long time before he's ready.

UPS guys are always cool, the one that delivers to my business has two 1967 Chevelles. Anytime the package is heavy, "what did you get for the pickup this time?"

Meanwhile I told the FedEx guy I like was going to kick his ass cuz he was being a major cunt one day. Called his superiors who happened to both be customers of my shop! He came back with the package and apologized hah. There is more to the story but I'm lazy.

Probably why the drivers tend to be nicer. I tattoo a FedEx freight driver he's one of my favorite customers, but all he talks about is how much the company sucks to work for. He's keeps the job because well he ships things a lot and the job helps with that :spy:

The kids at slick rock were great. Your oldest is impressive. He knows a lot about our trucks. He was asking all kinds of questions about wheeling and shit. Great kid.

Thanks man! Well technically we're building his truck. He'll be driving in 6 years so it'll be his first vehicle. He's already talking about wanting to SAS it.

    A little a this, a little a that...
My daughter's first camping trip was at 6 mo. My son's was at 2.5 mo. Get your kids hooked early. They adapt to anything so quick when they're young. It is a shit-ton of work to take the littleuns tho...

First camping trip with the eldest was at 5 months, and 2.5 months with the youngest. Absolutely right about a shit-ton of work- especially on a camping/ wheeling road trip.

Titus canyon when the kids were 4-1/2 & 1-1/2:

    Got better later that day.

Now, at 3 & 6, they love camping and it's so much easier.

You guys are awesome! There is 6 of us "kids" in my family and my parents said all of us were camping before 1. Also said it was a ton of work but worth it. Although myself and my younger sister are the only ones who still go at least 6 times a year (me, i've already lost count how many times i've been this year, over 20 for sure). I have a ton of fun with the friends/family kids when we camp, then again i can give them back when they throw a fit
