My aunt in her 40s and my grandfather taken before I was even out of high school. That same aunt's husband has been losing to 4 or 5 different types of cancers for the last 2 years and has gone from a NASA research scientist and biochemist, designer of artificial knees, and team leader of a private group that brought a successful cancer fighting drug to market 4 years ago into a guy who can't remember the password to unlock his phone, ever. My mom has had cancer issues, going back to my junior high years, but surgery has been successful to remove them so far.

All but 1 relative from my dad's side have died, all but my grandmother due to cancer.
