    It's not like I know what the fuck I'm talking about or anything, but I think the front skid design sucks.

    The basically linear cutout across the front of that skid are a huge structural weakness and where it will deform first. They've reduced the strength there by at least 50%.

    That little access hatch also provides more weakness right in an angle that provides strength. And the little door itself adn its bolt heads will be prone to hanging up on stuff an d shearing off.

    Then all the fastener head protectors are literally just more bumps in the road to get hung up on.

    IMHO

    Bigger Taller Slower
    Only the 2016+ comes with the hatch door for the cartridge oil filter , and the bolts at the rear are protected by a welded bead, here's pic of mine. I drilled it to leave the brackets that hold the factory skid in place. Between that and the gussets if it gets pushed in I've got bigger problems.
