Goodness! I actually have the entire weekend off (now until 2am Sunday) and I just don't know what to do with myself. The weather looks to be nice.

    What should I do/where should I go?

"mandate that 15 percent of new cars sold in the state by 2025 run with zero emissions or near-zero emissions"

I wonder if that is dealerships, or any selling, private party included. It doesn't say anything about going to another state and getting a diesel, but I'm assuming that there would be a CA tax on something like that of two arms and two legs. Either way its still pretty California like...and shittay.

Interestingly, all anyone mentions is the zero emission cars. There was a lot more in their pile of shittay regulation. It includes a bunch of reductions in emissions in greenhouse gases too.

Sadly. I doubt they considered the amount of money that's going to be spent meeting that requirement both by the state and by individuals. Not to mention what they just did to the other 49 states.

I keep hearing one half of Jerry Brown's mouth say "we're broke and cannot spend anymore money." and the other half say things like "high speed rail" and "sweeping legislation" (of which this is).

Might be time for this lifetime California resident to bail.

I've seen that one many times. Last spring they played softball at my daughter's old school in Diamond Springs.
