Where is the rain? I hate to sound like an old man, but we need it. I bitched about all the rain for the last three years in Oregon, and complained about the snow while I was stationed in Alaska. Now I'm back home and don't get me wrong I love the mild weather in CA, but this dry winter is no good for agriculture and sometimes a guy just wants to splash around in a mud puddle.

I pulled off into an old orchard (tree uprooted), nice baby green grass, nice slick red clay underneath. I had just washed the truck and I wanted to re-apply the custom brown "pin striping," and when I went to spin my tires I got nothing but grass and a little dust. Looked like a great opportunity to have a little fun, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. With a little rain this orchard will be a blast; big open space and a couple set of long deep ruts. Bring the rain!

I grew up in the foothills west of Chico, and mud and trails is all I have ever known. I have had a lot of fun in Pismo (Comp Hill FTW) with my old Silverado aired down and on my quad, but I have yet to take my Tacoma on the sand; curious how it might do.

I meant it as a been there and done that and hate dealing with the consequences after. I'll still hit a wet trail as needed, but I avoid the big mud sections and anything remotely resembling a body of water :anonymous:

You're truck will do just fine in the sand. Air down to 12 psi and keep the skinny pedal down.

    And yes....comp hill FTW

12 psi, duly noted. Great picture, a Go Pro on your roof would have made for a great video.
