China vs China, plenty of threads on the subject. Tepui is in Santa Cruz so that's helping support our local economy somewhat, CVT is in Bend OR. Most people around here have Tepuis

My work vehicle is in the shop, so I'm driving a spare vehicle an employee who recently left the company had. A 2002 Tundra AC Limited. 300k miles, but shifts great and the V8 runs like a top. Most importantly, the suspension is so much better than the other truck: 2008 Dakota AC with a V8 and 65K miles. New shocks and struts, but the ride breaks my back.
Boss says, "I know you're a Toyota guy, so you can keep the Tundra if you want. Dan (co-worker) really wants your truck. Or you can have his car." Dan drives 2013 Prius C.
The backseat in the Tundra are a plus since I can transport the kids. Dakota only has jump seats. If the Tundra goes down, I'll probably end up with a new truck, or my boss's (2009 Tundra Limited 4x4) and he'll get a new truck. Or I can take the shitbox Prius with back seats. Or keep the Dakota.

Think I'm going with the Tundra.

BTW, I don't have to tell most of you that they should have put this V8 in the 2nd gen.

Nothing is free! I negotiated for a higher salary and no company vehicle. Then I started showing up to meetings with a popup camper. Then a 1999 Passat wagon. Then I got a vehicle that I could drive when I got to the office. Then got to take that home. It's what happens when you help to triple the revenue of your department (2014 vs. 2015) in the first 8 months on the job...actually, I should be driving a new Tundra ;)

Seriously, I feel really fortunate to have a company vehicle. I'd drive anything they gave me, to an extent.

Ha! Seriously considered it. No cruise control though. It has Bluetooth and you can use he steering wheel controls to scroll through the charging/ regeneration/ eco mode displays, but no cruise control. Fuck that.

My biggest and only complaint about my company vehicle is the lack of cruise control especially with the mileage i put in but oh well

Had that in our 2005 Sienna. Sucked. The closest Toyota let you get to the car in front of you is 4 or 5 seconds, which leaves a huge gap. Everyone cuts in front of you and the sonar CC puts you even further back. Great late at night though on 5.

This is exactly where I need it since I only go to and from LA late at night to avoid all the traffic. Southbound has always been smooth, but driving back to norcal recently in the past 3-4 years have been a lot more annoying with people driving hella slow in the left lane. I might have to switch to 99 to avoid the dumbassery.

I have a CVT Mt. Bachelor that I got on a group buy here. If I were to do it again I would go Tepui through REI and get 20% with free shipping AND get an addition 15% back at the end of the year for being a member.

wait, I thought the 20% off on non-discounted items voided the dividend.

Thats what I originally thought. But I called them and they said that it would work
I bought new ski gloves with them and I got a dividend for it
