    Easy 2 step solution.

    1) Bring the billys up to 2.5
    2) Turn the radio up louder when you drive

Yeah, but last time I could still hear it over the radio! You could have heard me coming and going from the side of the road due to the loud grinding noise. Granted, that was with the old front diff, so maybe it's just the wear on the cv axle that's causing the vibe now??? I just don't know. I need to replace that axle just as a precaution, but it's a little bit above my technical know-how. Plus, going to 2.5 will sit me nose-high. That's why I'm not considering going higher than 1.75 (no rear leaf TSB but I have a wheeler's 1.5" AAL).

Hmm....time to upgrade your stereo. Take two of these and call me in the morning:

Bring your truck down here. I've removed/replaced/installed more yota axles than I like to admit. I've even got the 35 mm axle socket. Air tools make quick work of axles. My last endeavor involved replacing the axle seal on the passenger side. Start to finish was 1.5 hours including topping the diff of with fluid.

Thanks Jason. I'll probably take you up on the offer someday. That definitely makes me comfortable enough to raise the billies up and not worry about the grind for now. Of course, it might still be the bearing, but maybe I can find someone to help me out on that part later on if replacing the axle doesn't fix it.

Ok, I'll admit it. I went to Modesto High. :pout:

I don't miss the central valley one damn bit. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and pretty much miserable the rest of the time. UOP girls on the other hand......
