Great looking truck! I lived in Duchesne 13 years ago and spent a summer in Moab back in the 90's. Welcome to CA but you'll miss the easy right-out-the-door access to the outdoors. I keep wanting to go back to UT.

Hey nor cal peeps, ill try to keep this as short as possible. So a few weeks ago i was out playin in the mud, had a lil too much fun in 2wd flinging it all over. Stopped for lunch and then went to start, and nothing. Luckilly having a 6 man i was able to bump start it. Git the truck to a friend's house where we banged on the starter with a hammer and crowbar and got it started. Im assuming i dislodged whatever dirt or mud was in there. So ive driven the truck a few times since, not my dd, and no problems. Well, i get in yesterday, and the same thing, no starty start. I bang on the starter(actually think it was the solenoid) and get it to start. Ive looked in a couple of repair manuals, but not finding what im looking for. Mt question to all u guys is, can the just the solenoid be removed and replaced? The starter is good but i was wondering if i can just remove solenoid and clean or replace it? I hate having that "is it going to start?"mentality. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Try opening up the solenoid before you buy a new one. My old Toyota had this problem and it ended up being the contacts just under the end cap where the battery lead bolts to. Not sure if the starters are the same but worth a try.

Does anyone have an extra CV axle driver side and/or know of a shop in the Sac area to get it replaced?
