Exactly. They just use the tubes with 2 or 3 slots on some cabinets and face the non-slotted side out. They used to use quickframe. I checked out Jon Burtt's truck at the TW camping trip. Mine will definitely not look as good as that. I'll only spend 1/10 of the cost though, so I can live with that.

Well I knocked over a parked crotch rocket today at work while pulling out of space (didn't see it due to lifted truck and screaming 2yr old). Dude came out like a raging bull, told him to fuck off. Once tempers flared down he told me that he just sold it 20 min ago.

Yeah I'd be livid. At least you didn't take off, so props on that. My Grandmother borrowed my car back in the day when I was on deployment (without my permission I might add, since she was prone to accidents, but my Mom gave her the keys), knocked over a guys Bike backing up in a parking lot. She tried to take off but a bystander blocked her in and wouldn't let her leave, she claims she didn't notice (wouldn't surprise me, shes clueless). But she called me up on deployment asking for my insurance info, that was a solid nope, you're paying for that one, Grandma.

 

Nor did mine? Did you read the part where I grabbed their torque wrench and did it myself...

 

tldr;

 

Same same. I was parked in a single spot in San Francisco with a residential garage entrance on both sides. Came out to my truck, which was parked in such a way that when I walked out to it I could only see the front of the truck as I was approaching. Got in and backed up slightly to pull out and crunch. Turned out the guy tucked his R6 into the barely big enough gap behind my tacoma and the driveway. We agreed to split the bill even though I felt he was mostly at fault. No one can be expected to look behind their truck when there isn't even a parking spot behind them. I didn't see anything in my rearview. He had the damages appraised at a few hundred but admitted he didn't intend to have the repairs (scratches, a cracked turn signal and fairing) made. Think I have him a c-note. Was peace of mind as he turned out to be a new neighbor.

 

I had every chance to just bounce, not my style. I went to every establishment in the complex to find owner with daughter in hand. My only issue was he was parked in the first quarter of the spot, if he was pulled all the way in I wouldn't have hit the bike. I literally tapped the last quarter of his rear fender.

 

When didn't you get a Taco? Last I knew you had a 4Runner. Good to see you back in here!

 

I made the trip to rock therapy in my 98 runner that was most recent. After pushing it hard it felt sluggish in power. Also electrical components started failing. Decided to take the loss and just get a new stock taco. So I went with a 07 TRD off-road with 60k miles. I'm about a month in so my builds barely starting. Eventually it'll be ready for anything. It's good to be back!

 

Almost did that once. Had a spot with a red zone in front and a row of motorcycles behind. I had to back up all the way up against the motorcycles so as not to stick out into the red. Was still a bit in the red. Came back a few hours later to find this beat up old van with no plates parked in the red backed up all the way against my bumper. Took a good 5 minutes of maneuvering to get out of that damn spot without hitting anything.

 

Lol that was my 02 supercharged runner! The motor blew on that one so I parted out and got the 98 and built that one!!! I guess I've been around the block haha
