To me, the MagLock option seems like the way to go. When I read about all the rules that come with a registered "assault weapon." It literally takes away every aspect of the gun itself in my opinion. As mentioned previously, even things like not being able to pass it down to a family member or drop it off at the gunsmith for a couple of days seems crazy to me.

I know right? I was referring to selling neutered rifles that are registered in CA not our CA compliant rifles.

yah they really do not want you to have it in any form. The gunsmith rules is a bit crazy to me. Hold on I need you to do some work, I am going to camp out and wait for you to finish.

This is what I don't get as well. They literally already have all my information in the system attached to the firearm. Not getting too political, but the new legislation was totally a slap in the face... and a easy way to make more cash for the reigistration fees n shit

Before we get banned for getting too political on a Saturday morning... I think a group of us will have to save the gun law venting and frustration for a time when we are all around a campfire and there's a beer in each of our hands. Lol

Nothing. The laws aren't clear enough. Until they are, compliance is up to interpretation.

Geez I've never used one to assault anything or anyone yet. I just don't understand why they are so named. And I have put hundreds of pounds of lead into things with a bolt action .22 over my younger days. I used to buy five one thousand round bricks the would last a day and a half camping.

Yeah I would go to PV ranch and home and could get them for $9.00 with employee discount from a friend's dad. Lead everywhere.
Now I've gone to do some gold detecting in those areas and cus myself.

We use to go out to the range and cut boards in half with the .22 just to finish the box
Heaven forbid we took any ammo home

Sadly, the law is the law and even tho parts aren't clear (like how do you actually register?), it will eventually happen.

Most likely gonna happen with other things as well. Like off highway vehicles and even our trucks.
