Hog is yr round. Some public keeps there own management ways n only opens it for parts of the year. Never been to hollister. Sho couldn't tell u much on that. Look into lake Sonoma pig hunting, they open it to the public but it's been get crowded from what I hear. Archery only as well.

Hollister Hills has had issues along some of the fence lines and in the campgrounds (motorcycle park part). Sometimes, you'll see places where they've rooted all over the place.

I was surprised by the reproductive rate of wild pigs. A sow can have two liters a year-of six piglets a pop. That's a lot of pigs.

Be cool if they'd give out free predation permits that would allow you to take as many as you wanted as long as you gave them to charity (keep one for yourself).

Hell Yea, I have seen boars take multiple large caliber rounds and still keep coming. They are like Terminators

You can roll in mine, I have a Quad Cab. I see a high center in my future, will need extra help freeing myself. Or I can get a winch on a hitch mount and tug you along. I really need to lift my truck and throw some meats on it

Yeah. I was suggesting that rather than leave them, they get turned over to charities. That way, the meat isn't wasted. And also to allow them to be issued for public lands.

Could work for deer too. So long as you don't have a shit-ton of hunters in the woods with people hiking or mtb or 4-wheelin

There have been a bunch of "eco terrorists" that have tried to shut the park down. Usually by claiming some environmental law has been broken.

I'm getting tired of people who use the courts to try and get what they want (at Carnegie, they tried to claim runoff from rain was a "stream running to the bay").
