I heard mixed results from traction bars on off road trucks at least the ones offered for tacos. the budbuilt one attaches to some not too thick bolts on the rear case. better option is welded to the axle. I also think you really need two so you don't get and side wrap from having one side stiffer than other. I really thought about one but decided against it. Been thinking about one piece driveshaft though...

Have you tried running a health check on it from a smart charger? My NOCO charger has a chek and a repair mode that can help desulfonate battery. It's possible it is toast from getting run so low multiple times. AGM batteries are more tolerant of that than lead-acid.

Some suckers paid over 40k for their Tacoma’s...

Myself included. But I recognize that I am a special model whore. My 05 MR2 Spyder is a special edition, my Tacoma is a TuRD Pro, my wife’s GX is The Mark Levinson Special Edition. I recognize the non value that most special editions are, but I still chose to buy them.

I’m not too familiar with the build built one but I agree that a weld on would be better.

My dad and brother run traction bars in their leaf sprung FJ40s but they’re also running v8s so they have lots of axle wrap. They centered the bar though and just run the one.

I’ve debated off and on if I need one, I usually just let off if my rear end starts to jump. Been ok so far.

The easiest way to adjust is taje them off the truck and use a vise.
Rock and road has a good you tube video on rebuilding coilovers. More info then you need but the prosses of breaking down a coilover is what really helps see how to maintain your investment. There is a few things in that video that will help.

I looked at that. Opted for the two-piece due to concerns about lower critical speed rating on really long driveshafts. Didn't want to install a driveshaft that my truck was capable of destroying at speed (not on a public road). The diameter and wall thickness that would have been required for the one piece just got dumb.

What is a Mark Levinson special edition GX? I have a GX with the Mark Levinson sound system, but sounds like this special edition deal is something else.
