Drill and tap? Rivets are fairly permanent. Or at least a PITA to drill out

Rivnut, rivet-nut, nutserts, all same same.
Im sure a set of those pressed into the existing holes in the frame will do a better job than the current hardware

for all of you that run a snorkel... according to the "EXPERTS" on a Ford ranger page, "snorkels cause ~40% reduction in engine power and torque" FORTY FUCKING PERCENT!. I've already been kicked from 1 page for trolling them lol

40%? My Truck is already so slow by those numbers I wouldn’t be able to drive on the highway with a snorkel.

yup.. I said "it's more than just for water crossing, its also to pull cooler air in" and one of the guys says "What difference does that make when it's harder to get the air down into your intake? Snorkels take a ton of power way and they're only to raise your intake for water crossing or splashing. just facts"

    A few things
I may be mistaken but you are both wrong. Snorkels are for pulling in cleaner air, not cooler or dryer. But it can help with water.

I thought it was for cleaner and cooler air. I may have been mistaken. either way I got removed from the page. they kicked me because they said there can't be any "back and forth arguments" haha
