Starting work in Livermore come July of next year. Probably a little too far out but does anyone have any leads on places to live out that way? Not real picky, I'll be fresh out of school so I'm sure anything will be an improvement to what I'm living in now.

 

I know someone who rents out rooms at his house. If that works for you, I can ask how much.

Looks like the average 1 bedroom apartment in Livermore is $1800+ and I can't stomach that. I'll be able to afford that but I'm not used to living expenses being that expensive so a little bit of a shock to me.

 

That's just one of the many things you're gonna have to come to terms to here, unfortunately. Wait until you have to do registration renewals and all the other fun shit we have to pay out the ass for.

 

Not sure on your job hours and such, but might be worth looking at places in Tracy and the surrounding area. Commuting sucks donkey ass, but if it means saving a few hundred a month, might be an option.

 

Nice day in the field, today. She's a joy to watch work, but hard to watch. If you look down for 15 seconds she could be two hundreds yards away, in who knows what direction. Tall grass is a bitch.



And joining us was 7 month old pup who is related to my dog. They both found birds bunched up near a canal. Trying to zoom in with an iPhone 7 results in grainy crap photos.

 

I’ll be able to afford to live close to work. Everything out there is just more than I’m used to on the east coast. Also, want to keep the commute to a minimum since I get shit gas mileage.

Maybe look a bit farther away for cheap rent, closer if you can afford more.
