    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
So, I got a new (updated) quote on materials for the rear bumper and swing out.

That will be considerably lighter than the material I got the first quote for. With the right re-inforcement and gusseting, I think it will be good to go. Thinking about holding off on the DOM though. They don't deal with DOM often, so they can only sell 20 ft sticks or the price goes up per foot. Only need about 10 ft... But 10 ft would cost near the same as 20 ft.

Anyone know where I can source DOM cheaper than this?

***Edit*** "Cheaper" is not really the word I'm looking for. I realize DOM is around $10 a ft... Just don't want to spend $10 a ft for 10 feet of DOM I don't need right now.

Using the letter j In that word is silly. Just use only the j in Spanish and leave the other three in English and you have a heep or a weep.

Heres my page. Kinda near the bottom but it has a couple photos of how I did my swingout. Some square tubing and round tubing (believe it was 1.25 or 1.5 dom) from the local metal mart and spindles from Ruff stuff in Loomis. Went with the dual swingout to save space. Hardest part was the latch system. I can send you more photos if you want but it's held up decent so far! Squeaks a little and isn't perfect but it's done well so far. Got most of my ideas from box rocket's build and it was my first real welding project (and first time using mig) other than a small fence which I used the same 110 welder with fcaw.

    It has an engine...

    just isn’t in yet:anonymous:

The electrical is being a PIA. Apparently the engine is out of an 95 xj so I’ve been trying to thin out all the accessories wires. Also who ever owned it before me used all white wires under the dash and it looks like a rats nest.

That’s why I want to wheel later this summer!
