Well I got back from Jerry's a few hours ago, CMC is done! Now I can finally turn and not rub. Jerry does awesome work and it looks factory too! I'm glad I didn't try it cause I would have screwed it up or fryed my electronics.

Thanks again, Jerry. Have any of those brews yet?

Put in my order for a set of alcans with 2" of lift :D Now back to the garage to finish stripping my front end.

Working on it. Have my front bumper off and sway bar (I can leave this off permanently, right?) right now and working on getting my shocks out. The bolts came out except for the top most one. Loosening that just spins my shock. I'm confused :(

Nevermind I'm dumb. I got a pair of vice grips and held the bolt so it didn't spin.

Douse the triflow on the bushings too when you are assembling it.
Then use your favorite grease with the zirks

Yes you can leave your sway bar off, just drive more conscious.
Top bolt is what holds the spring plate on to the shock/coil assembly. What lift are you putting on?

EDIT: Nevermind just saw kings. Don't worry about the top/center nut. You can pull the whole assembly out as a unit as long as you remove the three top plate bolts and the bottom shock bolt.

Tri flow bukkake on the bushings? No problem. How much does not having the sway bar effect the ride? Can I no longer take sweeping turns at 50 or so without fear or rolling?

Another question-How do I drop the LCA lower? I've got the three top plate bolts out and the lower bolt out but when I try and pull the shock out, it's bound up on the LCA. It seems like the LCA wants to shoot up and is putting pressure on the shock. What did I do wrong? I'm taking a dinner break because this is bugging me.

Oh shit, apparently I removed the wrong thing? That 17mm nut that I had trouble with wasn't supposed to be removed apparently. Hmmm, this is fun.

It sways more. More body roll, just takes getting used to.
Unbolt the two bolts on the bottom of the lower ball joint, and use your foot.

Are they the two with the retaining pin in them? Also wtf is that top bolt that's 17mm? I took it out and can't really get it back in. Someone said that was a no no.

Well this is fun. I got one side about 90% complete. Just have to attach the reservoir and torque down all the bolts. Tomorrow I'll finish the other side and hopefully get time to put on my plate bumper.

Can I adjust the coilover plate thing (the round part that holds down the coil that you can rotate so that it compresses your coil more to raise your front end, I don't know what it's called :( ) while it's on the truck and bolted in? I couldn't figure out a way to adjust it while having it out of the truck. I want to add a little more load onto the coil.

Caught the bear red-handed getting into our trash tonight (he got into it last night too). He's HUGE! Guess putting ammonia in the can doesn't work. I'll have to try putting it in cups around the can tomorrow night.

Did I mention he was huge? No sense in ticking him off! I just need to put the ammonia around the can in cups (supposedly).

I don't know if it's still the case but Sequoia & Kings Canyon used to tell you that when a bear entered your camp, you were supposed a) make noise banging pots and pans and b) throw rocks at it.

When you're backpacking, throwing rocks at a bear doesn't seem like the best thing to be doing--but it works. So I'm thinking those pepper balls (maybe freeze them or turn up the pressure in the gun) send the same message-this is not the food you are looking for :D And in a reasonably "safe" way.

The top bolts on the kings should be 14mm. Adjusting kings is do-able with it on the truck, it should have came with a giant chisel looking thing. Just loosen the allen bolt that is clamping the ring, then turn. ( clock wise I believe )

Yeah, well I scared him away from the garbage in the front yard. This video shows how well it worked since he hung around in the backyard with all the floodlights on. Besides, he's used to people living here and will come back anyway. Just have to use enough ammonia to keep him out of our garbage. Maybe after a few weeks of the ammonia, he'll give up on ours? BTW, we're not the only ones he hits up regularly.

Video of him in our backyard last night. Look at the size of his rear feet!
