Fuck I need a daily driver. Gas is way too damn expensive.

My travel time is already near the minimum. I think I got to work today in 33... GPS usually tells me 40. I'd go the motorcycle route, but the military makes it a pain in the ass to ride one

Been wanting to get a dual sport or something similar lately. Seems like a blast riding around town and still being able to head into the mountains for some dirt riding if the pavement gets lame-o one day.

Agreed. I never bothered to get the cert becasue I always drove my vehicle to the base. Too much gear to transport.

I had this one for ten years and never got off road with it. Always took the truck so I could take the dogs. And the wife. And some fishing gear. And some camping gear, etc...

    Geez, I love winter work!
Up at 4 get to the power plant by 4:40 check in and get in my log loader. Now it's 5:40 and no truck to unload. Yesterday was nine and a half hours of the same waiting game.
Seems nice to get paid to do nothing but I got a bad case of the go dos. I'm going nucking futs!

Sometimes the grass is greener. Then you lay down on it and it's that shitty prickly Florida grass that's full of fire ants that bite the shit out of you. But at least it's greener.

I've been strongly considering the same, but am slowly talking myself out of it...

IMHO a daily driver is the best mod you can do to your truck. That's why I have 2 daily drivers.

Been trying to get a reaching for my daily driver for work but the powers that be would rather I drive a 3/4 ton loaded with my tools and half a ton of hydraulic hose and parts. We have an 09 Tacoma that has now almost 300k in it and runs awesome. I would prefer it.

I did the math and including maintenance, fuel, insurance and registration fees my motorcycle paid for itself a while ago. The car I bought 2 weeks ago will break even in 5 years so not as great as the bike but still not bad. The other big upside is way less miles on my truck and I can mod the shit out of it and leave in pieces and it's no big deal.

To me that’s the perfect combination.
    A 4x4 Taco, a hatchback and a motorcycle.
