See we used ngk in our Subaru’s when we rebuild them and they were always the best option.

 

No wires on the 4.0 motor. They have coil packs. No need to change those out unless they break

It's just after midnight for me right now, and I'm about to go to sleep.

 

A good friend of mine that works on his truck suggested buying a few things straight from the dealer (spark plugs and oil filters). Filters I’m not worried about (I buy Royal Purple) but given that plugs aren’t changed often on my motor, there are a lot of choices available, and I lack the experience some others have I felt most confident about getting mine from the dealer.

Just do what you feel most comfortable with. There are a lot of factors specific to you like budget, confidence in where your parts come from, trusting some brands over others, etc. The most important part is that you are doing your best to keep that engine running at it’s best.

 

CORRECTION.... For some reason I thought you were a 1st gen Taco. The plugs I posted earlier are 1st gen.

I'm curious if anyone can recommend a good shop near Sacramento CA?

I just want to be able to ask questions and BS with someone who knows about Tacoma's?

Looking to do some mods on my truck, but probably wouldn't be doing very much of it myself..

A lot of questions (especially about lifts etc) can be answered here on TW in various threads or by Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road, or pretty much anyone you talk to @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc (both of those are extremely knowledgable and great to deal with)

Dealer for plugs. Easy and they have what you need.

 

For questions and BS, there’s a ton of us. Don’t need a shop for that.

For fab work, we have StellarBuilt, WFO, and HotMetalFab in the area. I know there are more, just off the top of my head.

 

You've already found it, it's called TW. I'm in Sacramento if you need a hand, we have a pretty solid group in this area!

BTW, I'm trying out Performance Powdercoating in Orangevale on my coils. The owner Les is totally old school, and really nice. They get great reviews across the board.
