That’s the one I used.

Before that I got turned away from a couple of places because it was too wide. But that wheel works knew exactly what I wanted when I told them to add as much caster as they could.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Not good... Had to come home early.

We didn't leave out till late, when we got to around 5000ft (Long Barn) the truck boiled over out of the blue (10:00 last night). Sat on the side of the road for 30 minutes to let it cool down then babied up the road about 6 miles to the Cold Springs market... waited for everything to cool down enough to open the radiator cap. Was only about 1/3 gallon low... (most of which was probably lost to steam). Decided, fuck it... we're just gunna send it and get to our camp site (about 8 miles)... Didn't get set up and to sleep till 2AM.

Seemed like a better idea to go up to the camp site than to drive 1.5 hours back home.

But now we're back home, and I get to spend tomorrow figuring out what the fuck happened. :notsure:

Ya, that's pretty much what I've been thinking since last night.

Going to flush the system, and flush the heater core specifically. Just ordered a T-stat and O-ring (just replaced with Toyota OEM a year and a half ago)... ((actually, just replaced T-stat, O-ring, water pump, radiator, and flushed the whole fucking system a year and a half ago))

Why do you think it’s the thermostat? That seems like an unlikely culprit.

    Fan clutch?

Be sure to get all the air bubbles/pockets out after your flush. Quite a few people on here have issues with overheating after a repair because they didnt.

Fan clutch, blockage. radiator corrosion. I was thinking that the fact the radiator is down would lead me to inspect and assuming there are no obvious leaks, pressure test it. If it's good, fill it and let the engine run with the cap off until you see flow across the top.

Also, check the passenger side carpet for moisture-in case the heater core is leaking.

Replaced fan clutch and fan bracket, when I replaced all the other stuff, a year and a half ago.

No moisture at the passenger floor board. When I fill the radiator, I park nose up, use a coolant funnel, and run the truck while filling the funnel until the coolant stays in the funnel... then I run it until I see movement in the fluid in the funnel.

I've personally used Custom Alignment twice. They are my go-to for alignment. Other two are also well talked about although I haven't used either. With Custom Alignment, they work by appointment only. Expensive at $195 but worth it imo.

That I have to check today. But the thing is, after I boiled over I was only about 1/3 gallon low (and some of that was in the reserve tank, because when it boiled over, it overflowed in to the coolant tank)

Then we let it sit over night when we were at camp and the fluid level inside the radiator had not dropped again (by the time we were getting ready to leave, around 10 hours later). So, I don't think I'm leaking at the radiator.
