Well I messed up big time today, thought I’ll do some yard work, transplant a few grape plants. Ended up breaking a water pipe, which I have no idea how to fix.

Looks like an easy fix. Extract the pipe from the valve and replace the pipe to the spigot. Easy.

Take the wrap off the pipes and measure. Head down to the hardware store, if you need help, ask. Don't forget to buy a plastic pipe extractor.

looks like the spigot is screwed into a tee so you can’t simply screw in new piece of pipe without taking tee apart. Instead get a compression coupling and cut the broken pipe coming off the tee back to be slightly longer than the compression coupling. Slide the compression coupling completely on this piece. Measure distance from end of cut pipe to the valve and buy a nipple same length or slightly shorter. Use Teflon tape on threads on one side and screw tight into valve using 2nd wrench on valve to keep it from turning. Finally, slide compression fitting towards the valve so it straddles both pieces of pipe and tighten both ends with channel lock pliers.

Not a huge fan of compression fittings. They can separate over time-this is based on my own experience. If you must, use a union instead.

Ran the truck through a car wash with undercarriage wash and sprayed down the bulk of the frame with a pressure hose nozzle yesterday, after a day driving in the mountains I should be fine right?

I can still see dirt on there but I’m assuming that’s harmless dirt and not salt that is hurtful to the frame?

Spotted a 2nd gen with an aftermarket front bumper (I believe it was ARB?) and what looked to be a UTE flatbed on central expressway.
