Towing question for you yocals locals...

    Factory tow limit: 6,500lbs

After these suspension/tire mods: 33" tires (32.4" K02s) and HD Dakars
How much weight would we safely be able to tow?

Something to consider is legally, you'll probably be well over the GVWR before adding the tongue weight of the trailer (GVWR is 5500 lbs fully loaded). GCVWR is 8100lbs.

That being said, I've towed a 19" ft ski boat behind my truck and it did just fine. Note that I do have upgraded brakes up front (bbk) and it was from Fremont -> Woodward Reservoir and back so only one hill climb each way. Make sure your brakes are good / have electric brakes on the trailer.

Just hook up and yank! Get her up to about 25 and test brakes. Test brakes every 10 mph till you know where oh shit is. Once your positive you know the feel head her on out! Simple really.

I finally made it to golfs Holy Grail. Pebble Beach. Been there a few times as a kid in the gallery at The Crosby. But this is the first time I took the chance to play. Never felt I was good enough to play there(Still questionable). Been working hard with my game the last couple years. I made a tee time. Got to the starters booth at 1:15 pm for a 2:40 tee time. The starter says to me, do you want to tee it up now, there’s a spot. Sure, I said. I was nervous so figured better not to wait and be more stressed. From my car to tee without stretching or practice swings. Triple bogey on 1. Worked it out to shoot an 87. Only one birdie. Missed at least four other shots at birdie. But I suppose my biggest accomplishment was playing the entire round using only one ball. That’s a big deal for a hacker like me. Great day, and the weather was excellent. Plus, the two strangers I played with were really nice guys. Definitely an experience of a lifetime. Hope to one day get to play there again.

Sounds like a great day. I was there a couple of years ago but there were a bunch of cars on the course.

I would like to have been there for that, as well. It was canceled this year due to Wuhan Virus bullshit.

Never golfed there but I’ve kicked off from that pier in that picture many times to spearfish around that pinnacle just out of Stillwater cove.

Nice! I've only dove at Point Lobos. Never went to Stillwater. Should have. I'm told there is a gal who dives there for golfball recovery. Shes recovered many hundreds of balls. Thankfully, I did not contribute to that number.

Lobos was f'ing amazing. Except for the seals. Stillwater was OK but nothing like Lobos. I have to say that one day, I had a couple of people new to cold water diving that wanted to work the sea wall along the breakwater. Since it was a calm day, I said why not. That was worth it-same with outflow for the aquarium.
