I just got a Camp Chef Explorer recently and have been happy with it so far. Camp chef makes some good stuff.
Cool that I can take the legs off and use it on my tailgate too if I want.

I have the single version of this and it's just a bit inconvenient to bring with me. Hoping for something a little smaller/lighter/better packing

I have a Coleman Grill/Stove Combo. Works fine on my tailgate as well as when I am boat in camping. If I were to do it again I would spend more on a quality unit. Don't get me wrong it works fine, but I am going to upgrade when it eventually breaks.

Yea not ideal for every wheeling trip, but plan to take it on the more "leisure" ones where I don't mind the weight or space it takes up.
Also have an old coleman folding two burner stove that I take on everything else pretty much.

The biggest problem with Camp Chef and Coleman has more to do with their quality. Which I believe has gone down over the years. They still produce heat and work but things like the clips the hold lids break (the one on my Camp Chef broke after just one use). The Coleman’s burner controls were cracked after just a single season. During the second season, it developed a gas leak. So I’m two stoves in after maybe three years. Not sure if it’s just rattling around or cheap nature of the newer products are to blame.

When I was researching, I learned the Partner Steel are used primarily by the river rafting and “base” camp groups because they don’t break while being transported and they stand up to heavy use.

I’m sure I could probably buy a couple more cheap stoves but I decided to Try something different. I couldn’t decide which of the two burner ones to get. But with 22”, I can get two large pans on the stove.

You and everyone else. The parade has already begun!

Not trying to dissuade you but it’ll be a zoo I’m guessing. Maybe head up really high or go all the way over...

    I’m staying closer to home.

Looking at possibly 5N01 (if open, should be) back to Long Valley... and possibly back side of Relief Reservoir.

I use Big Discount Tire Pros in Alameda, they were given some direction on how to align 4x4s by Shaffer's Off Road. Have done my truck three times after I've changed things, drives straight.

i was at HF today. i should have snagged this clearance deal for you i got this floor model for $50 (COVID especial!)

    [IMG] [IMG]
it flipped but minimal damage. it's off square by a degree or two but all the drawers work perfect. i hope that does not change when it's loaded. should be fine. this thing weighs 100#

also, just about ready to swap battery wires:

found out the 12 ton crimper won't do 4 awg but it rocks 1/0 nicely. so i picked up the 8 ton crimper for smaller gauge jobs. let me know if you need to crimp some shit.

I used a hammer crimper for that job, worked well. Give me a holler if those dont work out well and you want to borrow it.
