I know Yolo use to be stricter. They had a few plaintiffs when they brought a case to the 9th circuit back in 2016. Is Prieto still the sheriff down there? My Sac county justification was one sentence. :notsure:

word my sheriff is awesome and was super relaxed during the process. Its a formality more than demand for my county at least.

El Dorado County is good too. Sheriff is super relaxed on permits. I wrote a sentence or two for my cause as well and it was enough. A deputy sat with me and literally said; “yeah just put something down about wanting protection while camping or something.” Mine was approved no problem. LONGGGGG process though....took close to a year from start to finish to get mine.

I was told it's a wobbler. Meaning, if the DA is an asshole, they can go the felony route. But, that was many years ago I was told that. Things could have changed.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I think that may also have a lot to do with what else you are doing at the time you are illegally concealed carrying.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
The 21st. I am looking forward to it. I am actually going to start doing some strengthening exercises for the next few weeks to aid the recovery time. They said the soft brace is just to prevent quick up/down movements...

Prieto is gone. I have been reading CalGuns a lot trying to figure out exactly what is needed. From what I am told, my "GC" can be I have 2 kids and have some minor medical issues that will prevent me from fleeing when confronted as quick as someone else would. I'll present them with ACL replacement and disc replacement conditions if prompted. I also wear a uniform that puts me in harms way to/from my office these days.

I'd be cautious even mentioning that, it's a 'wobbler' and only a misdemeanor when it's your own registered pistol absent of aggravating circumstances

    I'm guessing you're a FFL Type 3?

I would think your current status as active military would make it easier, not harder.

Like Santa Clara County? Our sheriff is fine with your CCW application if you're able to come up with a good campaign donation. Allegedly. Otherwise, they're "too busy".

Should have clarified. I used to up until a couple of years ago. Moved to Marin county, and now in Sonoma county.... I miss El Do! After I moved to Marin, I had to go back to the El Do sheriff’s department and return (basically forfeit) my permit because I moved counties. Was super fuckin bummed.

My first time applying the detective interviewing looked at the paperwork and said "oh you're military? what do you do?" and put the paperwork back in the folder without reading anymore. Approved and given permit same day. Granted this was back in '13
Gotcha. We’re looking at moving in the next couple months. Couple buddies are ElDo sheriff deputies.

Which part? I’m itching to move back. The lady officially has her BSN now (main reason we moved to the Bay in the first place), so once her term ends at the facility she’s working at here in SR, Ill be ready to buy out towards El Do county.

Side note: I can’t believe how much El dorado hills and Folsom is growing. Holy shit! Every time I drive out there lately it’s more and more developments on the outskirts of town/50. Almost kind of sad to see. Lol
