So sorry for your loss man.

I had a boxer growing up live till 14. Succumb to age/health after battling cancer, poor guy passed at the vet kennel when we were back stateside one summer (we lived overseas in high school). Still hurts to this day he passed with no one around, tears me up thinkin about it. We got him when I was ~2, lived till 16. Best dog I’ve had.

Thanks everyone for the support. It really helps. So much memories. So much memories, he made us a better family. My passenger window will always be rolled down on the trails in the future for him.

    Thank you guys!

After price-checking both the cost of a paintjob and a wrap, it's still vomit-inducing.

Any recommendations on a diff shop with 1 hour or so of Placerville? Looking to get some 4.88 installed and possibly a front locker if I can swing it. Also any experiences with Marlins ninja gears?

East Coast Gear Supply will build it and ship it to you. All you have to do is put it in and mail back the old third as a core. They have a 5 year warranty that they stand behind. Nobody else in the industry even comes close.

    Some really cool shit
My heart bleeds for you, brother. My Chesapeake Bay turned 15 in February. He's struggling. Painful arthritis. I know he hasn't got long, and it tears me apart some times. He's been the best dog ever.
    kim, dogs.jpg

There is sorrow enough in the natural way
    From men and women to fill our day;
And when we are certain of sorrow in store,
Why do we always arrange for more?
Brothers and Sisters, I bid you beware
Of giving your heart to a dog to tear.

Buy a pup and your money will buy
    Love unflinching that cannot lie—
    Perfect passion and worship fed
By a kick in the ribs or a pat on the head.
    Nevertheless it is hardly fair
To risk your heart for a dog to tear.

When the fourteen years which Nature permits
Are closing in asthma, or tumour, or fits,
And the vet’s unspoken prescription runs
To lethal chambers or loaded guns,
Then you will find—it’s your own affair—
But… you’ve given your heart to a dog to tear.

When the body that lived at your single will,
With its whimper of welcome, is stilled (how still!).
When the spirit that answered your every mood
    Is gone—wherever it goes—for good,
You will discover how much you care,
And will give your heart to a dog to tear.

We’ve sorrow enough in the natural way,
When it comes to burying Christian clay.
Our loves are not given, but only lent,
At compound interest of cent per cent.
Though it is not always the case, I believe,
That the longer we’ve kept ’em, the more do we grieve:
For, when debts are payable, right or wrong,
A short-time loan is as bad as a long—
So why in—Heaven (before we are there)
Should we give our hearts to a dog to tear?

    Rudyard Kipling

Thank you! I felt this. I’m struggling. No one wanted him, I took him in at 8 weeks old. 11 of the best years of my life. We went camping, trails, snow boarding, kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, through the recession, he kept my head up. Thank you for this.
